ZESCO United’s under fire coach Mumamba Numba tedious journey in the MTN/FAZ Super Division continues today when the Ndola giants take on struggling Kitwe United in a week-7 fixture at Garden Park Stadium in Kitwe.
Numba who has struggled to settle at Zesco United after recording two, draws, two victories and two defeats will seek his first win in three games after dropping points to Zanaco and Green Buffaloes in the last two matches.
The former Zanaco tutor who is under pressure to perform at Zesco will expect his charges to improve upfront where they seem to be having challenges finding the back of the net.
With the Christmas break fast approaching, Numba’s target is to collect maximum points in the remaining fixtures to move into the top four.
Despite facing a team yet to record a win since the league commenced, Numba is expecting a tough match against Kitwe United who anchor the Super Division table with one point from four games.
However Numba will hope to pick maximum points at Garden Park Stadium without Zimbabwean international, Tafadwa Rusike who has been ruled out as he is still nursing an injury.
Young Enock Sakala who rescued Zesco United from recording a consecutive defeat on Sunday will be eyeing for a place in the first eleven after scoring his first goal for the club against Green Buffaloes.
In other Super Division matches, unbeaten Buffaloes and Lusaka Dynamos face off at Edwin Imboela Stadium as Zanaco play host to Young Green Eagles at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
Red Arrows will host Nkwazi in a Lusaka derby at Nkoloma Stadium while, Kabwe Warriors will take on Buildcon who are seeking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Lumwana Radiants on Sunday.
